Welcome to the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship

Admission is FREE! Tickets are not needed for this USGA championship, and spectators are encouraged to attend. The beauty of this championship is the ability to get close to the action. There are no ropes; you can walk behind the players right down the middle of the fairway if you like! Come see a national champion crowned at Murphy Creek!

At Murphy Creek, golfers take a step back in time. The 1920’s farmhouse theme and hauntingly wonderful and different layout have established Murphy Creek as a destination course. With more than 80 bunkers, stunning water features and wide, rolling fairways, Murphy Creek is truly a golf experience. The greens are large and fair, and the prairie-links course challenges and entertains all levels of golfers. Murphy Creek opened in July 2000 and was designed by Ken Kavanaugh. Murphy Creek was ranked in Golf Digest’s America’s Top 10 Best New Courses for 2001 and top 50 courses in Golf for Women.

The City of Aurora Golf Division along with Murphy Creek are honored to be the site of the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. We hope the competitors will enjoy the course along with our practice facility which was voted the #1 Practice Facility in the metro area by Avid Golfer.
